My earlier posts to both of you didn't show up but I wanted to thank you again for stopping by to blog. :)) If this comment shows up with a few others then we'll know the lost posts found their way out of Google-land. Be sure to watch my blog next week for a recap of our blog tour!

Hugs,
DestinyDestiny Blainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03392943129642341236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5567734856431645378.post-12317309245372983902010-03-06T12:33:37.009-04:002010-03-06T12:33:37.009-04:00Hi Leslie,

One name is at a well known publisher that continues to brand themselves as a true leader in a specific genre. Another pen name is also at some of the same publishers where ‘Destiny Blaine’ publishes and most everyone on my reader's group knows who I am and why I don't advertise the name openly.

My real name is connected to 'Destiny Blaine' which is one of the reasons why I co-author horror books under another pseudonym. The publisher and co-author didn't want the horror books associated with erotic romance, for their own reasons which I respect. It's become a chess game, of sorts. It's hard to decide what move to make and which one makes sense in today's market. Several of my pseudonyms advertise a lot. One in particular does a world of print advertising.

Eventually, some—not all since those names are guarded by contract—of the pen names will connect and lead straight back to me. I’m fine with that but for now, writing under several names works well enough to continue juggling these as separate identities.

Hugs,
DestinyDestiny Blainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03392943129642341236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5567734856431645378.post-35611799243336661812010-03-05T13:42:05.249-04:002010-03-05T13:42:05.249-04:00Nice interview! I actually have a question for Destiny Blaine.

How do you successfully manage multiple pen names without promoting yourself as several different authors?

I'm thinking about using a pen name myself for writing in different genres but I fear that I wouldn't sell as much without fans knowing that I write as two different authors, even though they might enjoy one genre over the other. Is that nonsense?

lls4sanders@yahoo.comLeslie Lee Sandershttp://www.leslieleesanders.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5567734856431645378.post-34472579894940382232010-03-05T12:16:52.377-04:002010-03-05T12:16:52.377-04:00Hey Destiny,
